Victor Carpio

Victor Carpio is an accomplished professional in analytical development and quality control, currently serving as the Director of Analytical Development & Quality Control at BlueWhale Bio since November 2023. Previously, Victor held the position of Associate Director of Analytical Development and Quality Control at Alaunos Therapeutics from July 2021 to September 2023, where leadership focused on innovation in novel adoptive cell therapies. Experience includes roles at Ziopharm Oncology and Lonza, with a strong emphasis on advancing drug candidates for chronic Hepatitis B virus. Victor completed a PhD in Immunology from The University of Texas Medical Branch and holds a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia. Additionally, Victor was awarded the Ruth L. Kirschstein National Research Service Award for predoctoral research training during the tenure at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.
