The Opportunity:
BluMetric is looking for a full-time Welder to work in our West Ottawa location. We repair and overhaul water treatment systems and build specialized water systems for various clients including the mining sector. Job Responsibilities:
Layout, fit and weld various structural components (structural and piping).
Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively for cutting, shaping and finishing materials.
Working in accordance with approved welding procedure data sheets (WPDS) on the shop floor.
Ability to read drawings and engineering details.
TIG welding stainless steel piping.
Production welding, service & repair welding, and prototype building.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace and adhere to all safety policies and the use of all PPE and safe work practices.
Key Qualifications, Education, and Skills:
Minimum five (5) years in the welding industry.
Excellent safety record.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to produce high quality work.
Experienced in GMAW and FCAW. CWB certifications in these processes would be an asset.
Must have practical knowledge of welding/fitting operations.
Proficient in TIG welding stainless steel piping and the ability to pass a TSSA 6G pipe test.
Have a sound understanding of welding procedures and welding data procedures.
Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks quickly.
The ability to work in a team or independently as required.
Possesses the ability to interpret engineering specifications an asset.
CWB welding certification in the FCAW/MCAW, and GMAW would be an asset (these certifications are transferable between).
A red seal would be an asset.
Valid driver’s license.

Salary Range: $52,000.00 - $58,000.00(Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.)
