Ali Noor

Ali Noor has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Ali is currently working as the CFO & Company Secretary at BMA Capital Management Ltd. Prior to that, they served as the Group Head of Internal Audit & Compliance at the same company.

From 2015 to 2021, Ali held the position of Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary at IGI Finex Securities Limited. In this role, they managed a team of five members, oversaw financial operations, ensured compliance, and handled internal and external audits. Ali also liaised with the audit committee and handled regulatory operations.

Before joining IGI Finex Securities Limited, Ali worked as a Senior Manager at AMPRO CONSULTING from 2013 to 2014. During this time, they managed a portfolio of small to medium-sized businesses and provided accounting services.

In 2012, Ali worked as an Audit Team Lead at Hasnain Shafqat & Co. In this role, they spearheaded a team that prepared and consolidated financial statements for a real estate client in Dubai. Ali also ensured financial transparency and streamlined accounting processes.

From 2008 to 2012, Ali worked as a Senior Auditor at Ernst & Young - Dubai office. Ali led teams in conducting audits of commercial banks and financial institutions, optimizing returns through effective planning of audit assignments.

Ali started their career at A. F. Ferguson & Co. in 2001 as a Senior Supervisor. In this role, they developed audit plans, reviewed financial reports, and ensured timely completion of delegated tasks.

Throughout their career, Ali has developed skills in financial management, accounting, audit, risk management, and policy formulation. Ali is proficient in various software and tools, including GAMX, ERP, MS Visio, and MS Excel.

Ali Noor completed their Chartered Accountancy (ACA) from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan in 2017. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) from the Virtual University of Pakistan in 2017. Ali completed their Higher Secondary Certificate (H.S.C.) in Science from D.J. Sindh Government College from 1997 to 1999. Ali Noor also completed their Secondary School Certificate (S.S.C.) in Science from B.V.S Parsi High School from 1987 to 1997. In addition, they obtained a certificate for Exercising Leadership: Foundational Principles from edX in 2021.
