Deirdre Heron is the current Chief Human Resources Officer at BMO Financial Group. Deirdre has held this position since February 2008. Prior to this, they were the Director of Learning for Wealth Management at BMO Financial Group from July 1996 to June 2006. In this role, they led a large team of learning professionals who were dedicated to supporting the business strategy for the wealth businesses through all forms of learning: Online, Facilitated Learning, Performance Support Tools, Consulting.

Deirdre Heron has also held the title of HR Senior Program Manager, Wealth Management at BMO Financial Group from July 1996 to June 2006. In this role, they were responsible for Program Management for all HR Strategic Initiatives and Annual Programs.

Before their time at BMO Financial Group, Deirdre Heron held the role of CSR and CSO at RBC from September 1993 to July 1996.

Deirdre Heron has a human resource designation from CHRP and a Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from Western University.

They work with Jason Rachlin - Head of Market Risk & CRO, Capital Markets, Peter Hinman - CFO, Capital Markets, and Aine O’Flynn - Head of Investment Banking Capital Markets. Deirdre Heron reports to Dan Barclay, CEO & Group Head of BMO Capital Markets.
