Deland Kamanga

Deland Kamanga is the Group Head of BMO Wealth Management at the BMO Financial Group. Deland has held this position since November 2021.

Prior to their current role, Deland Kamanga was the Head of Global Markets for BMO Capital Markets from January 2006 to November 2021. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing all aspects of BMO Global Markets, which provides markets-based solutions to corporate, institutional and government clients. Under their leadership, the Global Markets team delivered leading market insights, risk management, best-in-class execution services and access to major markets across asset classes including: debt, foreign exchange, interest rate, credit, equity, securitization, and commodities.

Deland Kamanga is a passionate senior leader who champions and advocates for causes within BMO and in their community. Deland serves on the BMO Capital Markets Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee and is an Executive sponsor of Women in Capital Markets Return to Bay Street Program, BMO Black Professionals Network Canada, and the Black and Latino Committee. Deland is a proud champion of diversity and participates in a variety of BMO’s employee groups and initiatives.

Deland Kamanga actively gives their time to community causes including SickKids Hospital and the Jackie Robinson Foundation. Deland is a dedicated mentor to young professionals, and works to inspire them to bring their very best to the workplace and motivate them to achieve their career goals.

Deland Kamanga reports to Darryl White, CEO. They work with Tayfun Tuzun - CFO, Erminia Johannson - Group Head of North American Personal & Business Banking, and Gail S. Palac - Chief Auditor.
