Levent Kahraman

Levent Kahraman was appointed Co-Head, Global Fixed Income, Currency & Commodities in 2021.

Prior to BMO, Mr. Kahraman was the CEO and co-founder of KGS-Alpha Capital Markets, where he spent eight years building and managing the premier independent MBS/ABS Fixed Income Broker Dealer. Before KGS, he was a Managing Director at Barclays Capital, building one of the top-ranked Agency RMBS Structured Products businesses. Mr. Kahraman pioneered structures such as WAC pass-throughs, MBS-linked notes, A/L combo trades, and synthetic agency MBS. Mr. Kahraman started his career and spent eight years at Salomon Brothers, where his last position was Managing Director in charge of Secondary CMO Trading. Prior to Wall Street, Mr. Kahraman worked in management consulting, where he advised financial services firms on credit risk management.

He holds an MBA with Honors from Harvard Business School, a BA with Distinction in Economics and a BS with Distinction in Civil and Environmental Engineering, both from Cornell University.
