Pieter has a strong track record in building and leading high-performing teams and is credited with transforming Philips Personal Health through a combination of astute portfolio decisions, clear strategic choices, more disciplined operations, a rigorous focus on performance management, and an absolute commitment to a growth and performance culture. Pieter focused on the long-term stewardship of the Philips brand and on building a strategic approach to Philips’ digital marketing and digital innovation efforts globally. 

At their current position at BMW, Pieter is responsible for the company’s customer base, sales strategies and branding. Under their leadership, BMW has seen increased sales and customer satisfaction. Pieter is a strategic thinker and an excellent communicator, which has helped him in their various leadership roles. Pieter is passionate about their work and always looks for ways to improve the lives of consumers all over the world.

Dr. Nicolas Peter, Chief Financial Officer of BMW AG, has been chairman of the Board of Trustees of the BMW Foundation Herbert Quandt since August 1, 2020.

He studied law at the University of Munich (LMU), where he also obtained his doctorate in 1990. From 1991 to 1993, he held various positions in Corporate Finance at the BMW Group headquarters in Munich before becoming head of the BMW Coordination Center in Brussels. In 1996, he was appointed Head of Risk Management at BMW AG in Munich. After serving as Chief Financial Officer at BMW France in Paris from 1999 to 2002, Dr. Nicolas Peter became Vice President BMW Nordic in Stockholm. He returned to Munich as Senior Vice President Sales Strategy and Sales IT and became Senior Vice President Group Controlling in 2007.

On January 1, 2017, Dr. Nicolas Peter was appointed Chief Financial Officer of BMW AG.

Flor, 59, began his career with BMW in 1988 at the Engine Plant in Munich as an Engineer of Production. He then served in several roles in Quality Assurance and Quality Management at the Munich plant. From 1996-2000, he worked at the Spartanburg plant as Quality Assurance of Car Assembly and Purchased Parts. He has also been Vice President of Production at BMW Plant Munich, Director of BMW Plant Rosslyn in South Africa, and Senior Vice President of Manufacturing at BMW Brilliance Automotive Joint Venture in Shenyang, China. Most recently, Flor served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Quality for the [BMW Group](/org/bmw-group).
