Seema Paul

Seema Paul is the SVP & Chief Accounting Officer at BNED. Seema has over 25 years of experience in finance and accounting.

Seema started their career at Liberty Mutual Insurance Co. as the N.Y. Division Financial Manager. Seema then moved to Sybase, Inc. where they became the Area Controller. After that, they were the Director – Financial Reporting at Consolidated Delivery & Logistics, Inc. Then, they became the Controller at LockStar, Inc.

After a brief stint at Net2Phone, Inc. (NTOP) as the Assistant Controller, they joined Covanta Holding Corporation in August 2005 as the Corporate Controller. Seema served in that role for 10 years before joining BNED in April 2015.

Seema Paul holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance and General from the University of Maryland, a Master's degree in Accounting from the University of Maryland, and is certified as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Seema is currently pursuing a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) certification.
