Declan Canavan

Declan Canavan is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in asset management and private debt sales. Since August 2021, Declan has held the position of Managing Director and Head of Private Debt & Real Asset Sales at BNP Paribas Asset Management. Prior roles include Managing Director at MJ HUDSON LIMITED from 2019 to 2021, Managing Director at J.P. Morgan Asset Management from 2014 to 2019, and Managing Director at Barclays Investment Bank from 2011 to 2012. Declan also served as CEO of Kanawha Capital Partners between 2009 and 2011, and held a Managing Director role at J.P. Morgan from 1997 to 2009. Declan briefly took a personal sabbatical as a self-employed CEO in 2013. Declan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the University of Bath, obtained from 1985 to 1988.
