Carla Alonso

Carla Alonso has extensive work experience in the banking industry, particularly with BNP Paribas and its subsidiaries. Carla started their career at BNP Paribas Securities Services in 2009 as a Settlement Especialist Account Manager, responsible for managing clients' equities and bonds portfolios. In 2013, they transitioned to BNP Paribas as a Compliance Officer, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations and serving as a communication channel for compliance issues. Carla then moved to BNP Paribas Personal Investors in 2017, serving as the Head of Compliance until 2020. From 2020 to 2021, Carla worked as the Head of Compliance at BNP Paribas Securities Services. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Compliance Iberia at BNP Paribas Cardif since 2021.

Carla Alonso has a diverse education history. In 2015 - 2017, they attended the Financial Integrity Network, where they obtained a degree in International Financial Sanctions Compliance Officer. Prior to that, from 2014 - 2015, Carla studied Anti-Money Laundering & Counter-Terrorism Financing at the Instituto de Formação Bancária - IFB. In 2006 - 2007, they pursued Hispanic Philology at the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela. Lastly, from 2004 - 2007, Carla Alonso studied Science of Language - Social Communication at the Universidade de Lisboa, Faculade de Letras.
