Kirsten Mycroft is an accomplished professional in privacy, data ethics, and data management with extensive experience in the financial services sector. Currently serving as Managing Director and Chief Privacy and Data Ethics Officer at BNY since February 2017, Kirsten has held various leadership roles, including Chief Data Officer for International and Chief Privacy Officer. Prior experience includes Group Head of Privacy and Records Management at Lloyds Banking Group, where responsibilities encompassed policy development, regulatory engagement, and team leadership. Additionally, Kirsten held senior management positions at KPMG, leading data privacy practices and business development efforts, and at Ernst & Young, where key contributions involved establishing the EMEIA financial services organization’s data privacy practice and leading IT risk and assurance initiatives. Kirsten earned a B.Com Honours in Information Systems from the University of Cape Town.
