Kahini Achrekar has a diverse range of work experience, starting in 2018 when they interned at Scotiabank's Enterprise Innovation Group. During this internship, they were responsible for conducting market research and outreach to technology start-ups, communicating findings to stakeholders, and managing Proof-of-Concept projects.
In 2020, Kahini served as an Undergraduate Research Apprentice at the Linguistics Research Apprentice Practicum at UC Berkeley, where they gained experience in research methodologies.
The following year, they became involved with the Cognitive Science Student Association (CSSA) at UC Berkeley, holding multiple roles including Vice President and Outreach Coordinator. Their responsibilities included organizing events, coordinating outreach efforts, and maintaining relationships with university stakeholders.
In 2021, Kahini interned as a Global Language Programming Intern at GetSetUp, where they planned and executed a language-based user acquisition campaign and provided recommendations based on marketing analytics and user research.
After that, they joined The Center for Advanced Hindsight at Duke University in 2022 as a Research Assistant. In this role, they designed and implemented behavioral science informed interventions and experiments for various organizations. They utilized experimental methods, behavioral science theory, data science techniques, and user experience research tools to create, analyze, and implement interventions.
Most recently, Kahini started working as an Associate Experiment Designer at the Board of Innovation in 2023. The details of this role are yet to be provided.
Kahini Achrekar completed their Master's degree in Behavioral and Decision Sciences from the University of Pennsylvania from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science from the University of California, Berkeley, where they studied from 2017 to 2021.
