Rachel Newlin

Rachel Newlin has held various positions in the accounting and finance industry since 2007. Rachel started their career at Fox Parlor as a Studio Manager in 2007 and then moved to Artistic Studios as a Temp Accountant in 2011. In 2008, they joined Aviir, Inc. as an Accounting Manager and was responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures. In 2012, they became the Controller at Utique, Inc. where they managed all accounting and HR functions for a late stage venture capital backed startup. In 2013, they were the Accounting Manager at Marin Sun Farms where they managed all aspects of accounting for multiple channels of revenue. In 2014, they joined The Sage Group (Bay Area) as an Accounting Manager and managed all accounting and payroll functions for weekly processing and billing of temporary staffing. In 2015, they became a Senior Accountant at Kranz & Associates. In 2018, they joined UpNest as an Accounting & Operations Manager and managed a team locally and in remote sites. Currently, they are the Accounting and Finance Manager at Boardspan Inc.

Rachel Newlin is currently a student at San Francisco State University, studying Accounting and Business/Management. Rachel has also obtained two certifications - a QuickBooks Online Certification from QuickBooks ProAdvisors USA LLC in August 2015 and a Xero Certified certification from Xero in August 2015.
