Shannon Emrick

Shannon Emrick is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in the mining and legal sectors. Currently serving as Legal Counsel for Mining Growth & Transformation at SIMEC Mining since January 2024, Emrick also provides consulting legal counsel to Boart Longyear, guiding operations across Asia Pacific while previously holding roles as Assistant General Counsel and Regional Counsel. Emrick’s leadership extends to the Association of Corporate Counsel Australia as a Director and Executive Committee Member, alongside volunteer commitments with Make-A-Wish Australia in various operational roles. Prior to these positions, Emrick held legal roles at Arrium Mining and Materials, Finlaysons, Thomson Lawyers, and Berman & Aiwasian, focusing on complex legal issues, compliance, and large-scale projects. Emrick holds a Juris Doctorate from Santa Clara University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California, Davis.
