Chief Financial Officer at Boathouse Sports

John Kelly has been working in the finance industry since 1995. From 1995 to 2004, they were a Senior Managing Consultant at PFM. In 2004, they moved to PNC as a Managing Director. In 2012, they joined Janney Montgomery Scott LLC as a Managing Director, specializing in public finance with a focus on Pennsylvania issuers and project finance of alternative energy projects with municipal partners and/or tax-exempt debt. In 2016, they began working as a Principal at Ben Franklin Development, providing project finance consultancy and advising project developers on the financing of their alternative energy and environmental projects. John also began working as the Chief Financial Officer at Boathouse Sports in 2016. In 2020, they became the Chief Financial Officer at Vitara Biomedical, responsible for establishing and maintaining the accounting systems, payroll, 401(k), benefits and other back-office systems, as well as modeling the company’s business plan and budgeting and securing the financing to bring Vitara to commercialization.

John Kelly attended William Penn Charter School from 1974 to 1978 and obtained a High School degree. John then attended Harvard University from 1978 to 1982, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Economics.
