Janet C. Tacoronte

Janet C. Tacoronte has extensive legal experience dating back to their time as an Associate Legal Counsel at the Law Offices of Patrick L. Cordero, PA in 2003. Janet C. then worked for a few different real estate firms in varying roles, such as the Underwriter & Risk Assessment for the State of Florida at Old Republic Title Company in 2005 and the General Counsel at Horizons Title Guaranty, Inc. from 2007 to 2011. From there, they transitioned to managing their own law firm, JC LAW, P.A., from 2006 to 2017. Janet C. handled a range of legal issues and greatly expanded the business's scope. In 2016, they moved to Diamonds International, serving as their Associate General Counsel for two years before joining Selina, where they took on a number of senior legal roles from 2018 to 2021. During this time they were involved in a wide range of legal tasks, from business development and commercial contracts to real estate development, investor relations, and litigation management. Janet C.'smost recent work has been as a Legal Strategy Consultant at Tacoronte, A Global Legal Consulting Firm, where they advise clients on cross-border matters related to real estate, business development, import/export customs, export control, finance, compliance, and procurement. Janet C. is currently serving as General Counsel for Boats Group. Tacoronte is also a charter member of TechGC since March 2022.

Janet C. Tacoronte has a law degree (Juris Doctor) from St. Thomas University Benjamin L. Crump College of Law, which they obtained before 2003. Janet C. also has a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Florida International University, which they obtained before 1999. Tacoronte obtained their Master of International Management in Project Management from Colorado State University Global between 2017 and 2019. Janet C. completed the Global Executive MBA program at EADA Business School from 2023 to 2024. Tacoronte has several certifications, including a Certified Information Privacy Professional - United States (CIPP/US) from the International Association of Privacy Professionals, GDPR Data Protection Officer Skills from the University of Derby, and a Florida Bar certification.
