Originally from Queens, New York, Sal made South Florida his home over 25 years ago. He is the proud husband and father of two boys and three girls and spends the majority of his time off with them.
Sal joined the U. S. Marine Corps after high school where he came to appreciate serving others. After his service, he transitioned into the Loss Prevention field for a number of retail stores, starting as a regular agent and eventually ending up as a Loss Prevention Manager. During that time, he enrolled at American Intercontinental University to study Criminal Justice. After sleepless nights of papers and his nose in books, he walked away with his bachelor's degree.
Life quickly told him to "slow down" after tearing a meniscus disc and ACL from a sporting injury. Because of forced knee surgery, he took a less active desk job as a background investigator for a major medical staffing company. During that time, his perspective changed and found an opportunity to serve on the "front lines" of servitude once again, this time through Boca Helping Hands. Before taking his position as Food Recovery Driver, BHH had been a beacon of hope for his family, and he wanted to be part of something bigger than himself.
