Tressa Sharma has a diverse work experience spanning from 2002 to 2022. In 2002, they served as an Imagery Analyst and Section Leader in the US Army, where they led a team that performed imagery trend analysis and designed and implemented standard operating procedures. From 2010 to 2013, they worked at Northern Illinois University as a Biochemistry Lab Assistant, where they purified proteins, conducted thermodynamic analysis, and analyzed crystal structures. From 2013 to 2014, they were a Chemistry Physics Teacher at Belvidere High School. From 2014 to 2022, they were a Science Department Chair and Chemistry Teacher at Woodstock High School, where they partnered with Toshiba America Foundation to raise over $14,000 for science equipment, increased student SAT scores by 7%, and increased student enrollment in science classes by 6%. Finally, in 2022, they graduated from Code Platoon's Full Stack Development Bootcamp and began their role as a Jr Software Engineer at Bodhi®. During their time at Code Platoon, they implemented full stack applications in React.js, Django, Python, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Material UI, and REST APIs, and designed and implemented front end interfaces in React.
Tressa Sharma began their educational journey in 2008 when they earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) from Northern Illinois University. Tressa continued their studies at the same university and earned their Master of Science (M.S.) in 2013. In 2022, they earned a Certificate in Full Stack Software Development from Code Platoon.
