Erik Saviranta

Erik Saviranta has extensive work experience in the sales and management of heat treatment companies in Finland. Erik served as the Head of Sales at Bodycote Lämpökäsittely Oy, where they managed daily sales and marketing operations and identified business opportunities. Erik also held the position of Managing Director at Bodycote, responsible for overall company activities and strategic planning. Additionally, Erik served as Chairman of the Finnish Heat treatment and Forging Group at Teknologiateollisuus, where they facilitated collaboration among industry professionals. Erik was an Advisory Board member at SGN Tekniikka Oy, involved in importing machines and components for the manufacturing industry. Prior to their managerial roles, Erik worked as a Marketing Director and Sales and Marketing Manager at Brukens Oy, leading sales efforts and managing the heat treatment department. Erik has a background in materials science and worked as a lecturer at the Swedish Polytechnic school of Helsinki. Erik also has experience as a Development Engineer at Uddeholm Oy Ab, where they were involved in equipment installation, quality research, and certification preparation. Erik began their career as an apprentice at Oy Suomen Bofors Ab and Lääketehdas Medica Oy.

Erik Saviranta holds a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Arcada University of Applied Sciences, which they obtained from 1984 to 1988. Later, from 2003 to 2007, they pursued specializing studies at Helsinki School of Economics, Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulun Pienyrityskeskus.
