Kate Junkins is a Clinical Research Technician at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and a Spin Instructor at Bodyscapes Fitness, both roles held since August 2023. Previously, Kate served as a Peer-Leader and Biology Tutor at Fairfield University, where teaching and crafting indoor cycling classes were integral responsibilities. An undergraduate researcher in the Phelan Lab, Kate collaborated on a project investigating antioxidant compounds and their impact on breast cancer. Additional experiences include working as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Northwestern University's Feinberg School of Medicine, leading coordination efforts in the Fairfield University Student Association, volunteering at The Port Ministries in Chicago, and lifeguarding at Ridge Country Club. Kate holds a Bachelor of Science in Health and Human Biology from Fairfield University and has also studied at the University of Galway.
