Senior Principal Scientist / Clinical Biomarker Lead CNS & EA at Boehringer Ingelheim

André Schmidt has extensive work experience in the field of neuroscience and brain imaging. André currently holds the position of Senior Principal Scientist / Clinical Biomarker Lead CNS & EA at Boehringer Ingelheim, starting in June 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Group Leader in Neuropsychiatry and Brain Imaging at Universität Basel from September 2016 to May 2023. André has also worked as a Visiting Research Associate at King's College London from July 2016 to December 2017, and from January 2015 to June 2016. Additionally, they served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Basel from September 2012 to December 2014.

André Schmidt has a Master's degree in Human Movement Sciences from ETH Zurich, which they earned from 2003 to 2008. From 2006 to 2007, they also had an unspecified involvement at the University Hospital Zurich. André then pursued their doctorate in Neuroscience at the University of Zurich, completing it in 2012. During the same period, from 2009 to 2012, they participated in the International Ph.D. Program in Neuroscience at the Neuroscience Center Zurich. In 2016 and 2017, they attended the University of Zurich to earn a CAS Clinical Trial Manager certificate. André'smost recent education was at the University of Basel, where they obtained a Habilitation (Dr. habil) in Psychology, with the completion year unspecified but before 2018.
