Elke Prade

Elke Prade is an accomplished professional in bioprocess development and purification technologies, currently serving as Associate Head of Lab at Boehringer Ingelheim since March 2017. Prade has extensive experience in downstream processing and previously worked as a Senior Project Engineer focused on manufacturing science and technology. Prior to this role, Prade pursued postdoctoral research at the University of Michigan, specializing in NMR-spectroscopic characterization of cytochromes P450 interactions, and received a PhD from the Technical University of Munich, studying the structural characterization of amyloid-beta in Alzheimer's disease. Earlier experience includes research at Klinikum Rechts Der Isar, investigating regulatory pathways in esophageal cancer using human cell lines. Prade holds both a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and has completed an International Baccalaureate.
