Ferenc Kontes

Ferenc Kontes has extensive experience in medicinal chemistry, with a current role as Head of Animal Health Therapeutics Medicinal Chemistry at Boehringer Ingelheim since January 2018. Previous positions include Senior NCE Lead and Principal Scientist at the same company, along with senior and scientist roles in medicinal chemistry at ARMGO Pharma from March 2011 to December 2017. Ferenc began a research career as a Graduate Research Fellow at Columbia University, where a doctoral thesis focused on the controlled synthesis of oligomeric natural products was completed. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Chemistry from Columbia University and a B.Sc. Honors in Biopharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Ottawa.
