Paola Casarosa

Paola Casarosa is an accomplished leader in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as the Head of Innovation Unit and a member of the Board of Managing Directors at Boehringer Ingelheim, where previous roles included Senior Vice President and Head of Therapeutic Areas, as well as Therapeutic Area Head for CNS, Retinopathies, and Emerging Diseases. Prior experience includes post-development R&D for bronchodilators at BI Pharma and serving as Group Leader in Immunology at Organon Pharmaceuticals/Schering Plough. Paola began their career with a postdoctoral fellowship in virology at Hopital Bichat Paris, following a PhD in molecular pharmacology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam and a master's degree in medicinal chemistry from Università degli Studi di Torino.
