Xianwei Zhang, Ph.D., is a Senior Scientist at Boehringer Ingelheim since August 2022, focusing on the development of effective and safe drugs within the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics (DMPK) domain, and supporting pre-clinical and clinical study designs through pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic (PK/PD) modeling. Prior to this role, Xianwei Zhang served as Scientist IV at Boehringer Ingelheim from April 2020 to March 2021, specializing in quantitative systems pharmacology (QSP) and PK/PD modeling for non-clinical drug safety. Earlier experience includes a Research Fellow position at the Colorado School of Mines, where Xianwei Zhang conducted flow assurance research for the oil and gas industry from February 2018 to April 2020. Xianwei Zhang holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines (2013-2017), a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Southern California (2011-2013), and a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Zhejiang University (2007-2011).
