Daryl Goods is the vice president of Information Technology (IT) Business Success for Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS). In this role, he is responsible for delivering innovative digital solutions to align with BDS business strategy. His team is responsible for supporting the growth of Boeing’s business by partnering with the BDS team on IT-related content and technology enablement for BDS programs. His team also focuses on delivering efficiencies for BDS programs leveraging data analytics and other technology enablers. Goods serves as a member of the leadership teams of the CIO of The Boeing Company and also the President and CEO of BDS.
Prior to his current role, Daryl was the acting Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) of The Boeing Company and vice president of Boeing’s Information Security organization. In this role, Daryl was responsible for the protection of Boeing’s information and computing resources globally. He managed the function’s overall strategy and operation, including cyber controls; threat and identity management; cyber security services; security assessments, architecture and integration – enhancing the security of Boeing’s products, services and infrastructures
Prior to his acting CISO role, Daryl was the IT Business Partner Director for BDS responsible for the Autonomous Systems, Commercial Derivative Aircraft, Space and Launch and Vertical Lift divisions. Implementing IT strategy to action for their respective organizations and technology leadership through the rest of IT. In addition to the business relationship responsibilities, Daryl is responsible for the Boeing Defense Global Sales and Marketing team.
While assuming an executive role Daryl was the Director of Infrastructure Business Operations, the Build Center of Excellence, and Program Management and is responsible for strategic planning, the long-range business plan, sourcing strategy, technical and quality direction, tools and automation, architecture integration, design integration, test and certification, and program and project performance.
Prior to becoming an executive with the Boeing Company, Daryl was a Program Manager within the BDS Intelligence Systems Group, Daryl led large teams of Boeing employees and sub-contractors and was responsible for delivering Mission applications and services to the U.S. government. Daryl was accountable for achieving all cost, technical, schedule and contractual requirements and commitments. He built close relationships with all stakeholders and instilled a common Mission focus with an open, diverse and transparent culture.
