Crystal Severson

Crystal Severson has a diverse work experience in various fields. Crystal started their career as a Legal Administrative Assistant at Hawley Troxell, where they provided executive support and handled highly confidential information. Crystal then worked as a Substitute Teacher at Nampa School District, where they taught a 4th-grade classroom and collaborated with colleagues to develop effective lessons.

Following this, Crystal joined Northwest Nazarene University as an HR Assistant, where they coached and mentored supervisors on employee events and managed office supplies. Crystal then joined Canyon County as an HR Generalist, responsible for managing unemployment claims, benefits enrollment, and new employee orientations.

Crystal's next role was as a Human Resources Coordinator to HR Coordinator II at Boise Cascade Company, where they worked from September 2013 to November 2017. Crystal then progressed to become a Human Resources Manager at the same company from November 2016 to February 2020. In this role, they demonstrated the ability to foster inclusive and engaging work environments.

Currently, Crystal Severson is working as a Region Human Resource Business Partner at Boise Cascade Company, starting from November 2016. Here, they serve as an employee advocate and provides comprehensive HR support to leadership teams. Moreover, they are currently serving as the HR Services Director, handling payroll, leave management, benefits administration, and onboarding processes, and ensuring strategic alignment and high-quality service delivery to all associates.

Crystal Severson holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Northwest Nazarene University, which they completed from 2004 to 2006. Crystal then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from the same university, earning it from 2008 to 2010. Crystal furthered their education with a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Curriculum and Instruction, completing it at Northwest Nazarene University from 2010 to 2011. In addition to their formal education, Crystal has obtained various certifications, including SHRM-CP in 2015, Professional in Human Resources (PHR) in 2013, and additional certificates in leadership, critical thinking, strategic thinking, communication, and facilitation.
