Lakshan de Silva

Lakshan De Silva is currently the Chief Data Scientist at Bold Penguin since September 2020. Prior to that, they were the Founder and Managing Partner of Delaks Capital (part of Delaks Group) since 2012. Lakshan also served as Partner & CTO at Intellect SEEC from 2012 until September 2020. Before that, Lakshan De Silva was the Head of Business Solutions at QBE Insurance from 2009 to 2012 and the Groupwide Applications Manager at Perpetual from 2008 to 2009. Lakshan founded and served as the Managing Partner of Delaks Solutions (part of Delaks Group) from 2003 to 2006. Additionally, Lakshan De Silva worked as the Information Services Manager at BHP Steel from 2003 to 2005 and as a Computer Engineer at BHP Billiton from 1997 to 2003.

Lakshan De Silva attended Singularity University in 2016 for the Executive Program, where they studied applying exponential technology to address humanity's grand challenges. In 2012, they completed the AMP program at Harvard Business School, and from 2005 to 2007, they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the same institution. Lakshan De Silva also holds a Bachelor of Engineering (B Eng) with first-class honors from the University of Wollongong, although the specific time period is not provided. Lakshan completed their secondary education at Trinity Grammar School.
