Travis Tani

Travis Tani, Ph.D., senior director of process development, manufacturing & quality, joined Bolt in 2017. Dr. Tani has more than 19 years of biopharmaceutical experience in biologics and is currently responsible for managing internal and external functional areas of Process and Analytical Development, Manufacturing, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, IT, EHS and Facilities at Bolt Biotherapeutics. Prior to joining Bolt, Dr. Tani served as the Quality unit head responsible for overseeing Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities at OncoMed Pharmaceuticals ensuring compliance for nine clinical oncology development programs. Dr. Tani additionally has held scientific and leadership positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of analytical development, characterization, clinical trial management and logistics, quality control, formulation development, fill-finish development and manufacturing, and quality assurance at Perseid Therapeutics (an Astellas Pharma Company), Maxygen, Nuvelo, Laureate Pharma (a Purdue Pharma company) and Genentech. Dr. Tani holds a Ph.D. in biological chemistry and an M.S. in biological chemistry from the University of Michigan Medical School, as well as bachelors of arts degrees each in biology and chemistry from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
