Karan Karnik

Karan Karnik has a diverse background in product design and management. Karan is currently working at Bolt as the Lead Product Designer, a role they have held since September 2023. Prior to this, they were a Senior Product Designer at Bolt from December 2022 to September 2023. Before joining Bolt, Karan worked at Inkbox as a Senior Product Designer from February 2020 to December 2021. Karan also served as the Design Lead at Optimity from November 2018 to February 2020. Karan's earlier work experience includes founding and co-leading Futwork (formerly Frapp) from January 2014 to January 2018, where they helped companies deploy gig workers on demand, and working as a Design & Marketing Manager at Fitternity.com from February 2013 to January 2014, an e-commerce store for fitness service providers and products.

Karan Karnik completed an Interactive Media Management degree in UX Design at Centennial College in 2019. In 2018, they attended Arteveldehogeschool for a Summer School program in Alcohol & Beverage Marketing. In 2010, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a specialization in Marketing from SVKM's Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS). Karan also attended Podar I.S.C. for Senior Secondary School, focusing on Business/Commerce. Additionally, they obtained certifications in Design Systems Bootcamp from Memorisely in 2021 and UX Research for Agile Teams from LinkedIn in 2020.
