Brian Malm

Brian Malm has a diverse work experience in the engineering field. Brian started their career at Wells Concrete Products in 1996 as a Field Engineer. After a year, they moved to I&S Engineers, where they worked as a Design Engineer from 1997 to 2000. Brian then joined Bolton & Menk, where they became a Principal Engineer/Project Manager in 2000. At Bolton & Menk, they led the Rochester Civil Work Group and held the position of Principal in Charge of Performance Management for their southern Minnesota offices. Brian's expertise includes planning, design, and construction of public works projects, particularly in infrastructure projects such as streets and highways, sanitary sewer, water distribution, stormwater management facilities, and Capital Improvement planning. In 2020, Brian also took on leadership roles in the National Society of Professional Engineers. Brian served as the Director of Membership at Large from 2020 to 2022, Vice President from 2022 to 2023, and is currently the President Elect.

Brian Malm pursued their undergraduate education at North Dakota State University from 1992 to 1996. During this time, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. Later, from 2001 to 2003, Malm attended the University of Minnesota for their graduate studies. Brian earned a Master of Science degree in Infrastructure Systems Engineering during this period.
