Michael Jabs has a diverse work experience. Michael started their career in 2012 as a Youth Conservation Corps at the U.S Fish and Wildlife Service. In 2015, they worked as a Survey Intern at Bolton & Menk, Inc. Following this, they joined the same company in 2016 as a Senior Civil Engineering Technician. Recently, in 2020, they became a Firefighter/EMT at Mound Fire Department.
Michael Jabs, NREMT, has an education history that includes a diploma from Jordan Public High School, where they studied from 2010 to 2014. Michael then attended South Central College from 2014 to 2016, where they earned an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Civil Engineering Technology/Technician and a Certificate in Geographic Information Sciences.
In terms of additional certifications, Michael obtained an Emergency Medical Technician certification from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians in February 2023. Prior to that, they acquired various certifications, including an Airman Certificate (Small Unmanned Aircraft) from the Federal Aviation Administration in June 2021, an Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) certification from the Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board in May 2021, and NFPA 1001 Fire Fighter 1 and Fire Fighter 2 certifications from NFPA in January and April 2021, respectively.
Moreover, Michael holds certifications in various specialized areas, such as Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) Inspection and Manhole Rehabilitation Inspection from the National Association of Sewer Service Companies in May 2020, ADA Construction from the Minnesota Department of Transportation in April 2019, and Construction Site Management (Erosion and Stormwater Management) from the University of Minnesota in December 2017. Additionally, they possess a range of certifications from the Minnesota Department of Transportation, including Grading and Base 2, Bituminous Street 1 and 2, Concrete Field 1 and 2, Grading and Base 1, and Aggregate Production.
