Tyler Johnson

Tyler Johnson, GISP has a diverse work experience in the field of GIS. Tyler started their career as a GIS/RS Tech at Aerial Services, Inc., where they worked from an unknown date until 2009. Tyler then joined the Iowa DNR as a GIS Technician from March 2010 to July 2011. Tyler further strengthened their GIS skills by working as a GIS Analyst at the Iowa Flood Center from July 2011 to July 2015. Tyler then took on the role of Research Analysis Specialist - GIS at the Minnesota Department of Revenue from October 2014 to June 2015. Currently, Tyler is working at Bolton & Menk, Inc. where they started as a GIS Specialist in July 2015 and is now serving as a Senior GIS Analyst from April 2018 to the present.

Tyler Johnson, GISP, completed their education at the University of Northern Iowa. Tyler obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Geography and Cartography from 2001 to 2005. Later, from 2005 to 2009, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Geography from the same university. Additionally, Tyler has acquired several certifications, including Certified Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) from the GIS Certification Institute (GISCI) in July 2018, and Certified Floodplain Manager from the Association of State Floodplain Managers, Inc. (ASFPM) in March 2013.
