Robert Irven

Robert Irven has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Robert currently serves as the Director of Communications and Marketing at BOMA.ngo since January 2024. Prior to this, they worked as a Chinese (Mandarin) / ESL / Executive Functioning Tutor at My Learning Springboard, Inc. from August 2011. In 2023, Robert worked as a Communications Manager at Sidara, where they developed and executed internal communications strategies across 20 companies. Robert also held the position of Communications Manager and Senior Associate Communications at BRAC from June 2018 to April 2023, contributing to the empowerment of people and communities in situations of poverty and social injustice. Before that, they worked as a Consultant at APCOM and as a Communications Manager & Research Assistant at the Center for Social Development Studies. Robert's earlier experiences include roles such as Visiting Researcher at the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD), Intern at SEI – Stockholm Environment Institute, Project Manager and Client Services Coordinator at Mind Gym, and Account Manager at LocalVox.

Robert Irven has a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Development Economics and International Development from Chulalongkorn University, obtained in 2017. Robert also holds a degree in Chinese and Political Science from Rutgers University, completed between 2007 and 2011. In 2009, they obtained a Certificate in Advanced Chinese from Jilin University. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications in subjects such as Inclusive Social Protection, Transdisciplinary Studies, Civic Pathways, and Human Subject Testing.
