Cem Yavuz

Cem Yavuz has a diverse and extensive work experience in the sourcing and product development field. Cem is currently the Vice President of Sourcing & Product Development at Bombas since July 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Gap Inc. as a Senior Director in the Sourcing department from April 2021 to May 2022.

Cem's longest tenure was at Nike, where they held various roles over a span of almost 20 years. Cem served as a Non-Compete employee from August 2019 to August 2020. Cem then became the Senior Director of Global Sustainable Sourcing & Manufacturing from June 2018 to August 2019, leading the global strategy and execution for labor and environmental sustainability. Before that, they were the Global Director of Responsive Manufacturing from February 2018 to June 2018, where they focused on speeding up the product-to-market process. Cem also held the position of General Manager of Sourcing & Manufacturing - Europe, Middle East & Africa from July 2012 to February 2018, overseeing sourcing, production, product development, and more for Nike, Converse, and Hurley brands. Furthermore, they were the Director of Product Operations from July 2009 to July 2012, responsible for product development and operations for Tennis and Basketball categories.

Prior to their extensive tenure at Nike, Cem worked as a Senior Manager of Product Development and Production for the Sport Performance categories in China from November 2006 to July 2009. Cem also served as a Global Sourcing Manager from November 2005 to November 2006, managing sourcing and costing for global apparel collections. Before that, they worked as a Product Developer from September 2003 to November 2005, handling product development for Nike Outdoor and Nike Sportswear collections, including managing the ski resort program. Cem's career began as a Vendor Manager at Yunsa from August 2001 to September 2003.

Throughout their career, Cem has demonstrated strong leadership and management skills by overseeing large teams and complex global operations.

Cem Yavuz began their education at Istanbul Technical University from 1993 to 1999, where they received a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. In 2000, they attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they obtained a Professional Diploma in Business Administration and Management, General. In 2017, Cem Yavuz completed Executive Education in Business Administration and Management, General at Stanford University.
