Clifton Lewis Lyles

Clifton Lewis Lyles has extensive experience in the culinary industry, working in various leadership roles. Clifton currently serves as the VP of Innovation and Strategic Projects at Bon Appétit Management Company. In this role, they lead teams in designing and activating cafes, collaborating with culinary and operations teams, and finding innovative solutions to enhance guest experiences.

Prior to their current position, Clifton founded Team Onyx, an all-Black expedition racing team that represents strength and diversity. Clifton has also held the role of Chief Manufacturing and Innovation Officer at Thistle, where they focused on product development and streamlined processes.

Clifton has also made significant contributions to the food service industry, particularly in school meals programs. Clifton served as the VP of Culinary Excellence and Product Development at Revolution Foods, reimagining the culinary food program and changing perceptions of healthy food. Additionally, Clifton held leadership roles at Methodology, Sprig: Eat Well, Emirates Flight Catering, Philippine Airlines, and LSG Sky Chefs, where they showcased their culinary expertise and pushed the boundaries of in-flight food.

Clifton Lewis Lyles attended the Founder Institute in 2017 for a Start-up Accelerator program. In the same year, they also studied Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies at Stanford University. In 1992-1994, they pursued Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Management at the California Culinary Academy. Prior to that, from 1989 to 1991, they studied Business Administration and Management, General at Columbia College Chicago.
