Darrell K. Brown was appointed president of Bonneville International Corporation on December 13, 2013. Darrell oversees Bonneville’s 22 radio stations in Denver, Phoenix, Sacramento, Salt Lake City, San Francisco and Seattle markets. He also oversees operations at KSL 5 NBC television in Salt Lake City.
Darrell is an accomplished senior broadcast executive, previously serving as president of McGraw-Hill Broadcasting Company. His career with McGraw-Hill spanned 28 years where he served in various management roles for ABC and Azteca America television stations, including VP and general manager roles in San Diego, CA and Denver, CO. Additionally, Darrell has served as chairman of the ABC Television Affiliates Association and as an executive board member of Minneapolis based Internet Broadcasting Systems.
Darrell is passionate about local broadcasting’s role in building-up and strengthening communities and families. He has a tremendous background in community service. He has served on various executive boards in San Diego and Denver, including the Chamber of Commerce, United Way, and the Boy Scouts of America. He currently serves on the Primary Children’s Hospital Board and the Utah Anti-Bullying Coalition in Salt Lake City.
Darrell is a graduate of Brigham Young University. He and his wife, Lise, live in Salt Lake City, Utah.
