Lead Data Scientist at Bonneville Power Administration

Garland Will has a diverse work experience in the field of data analysis and operations research. Garland started their career as an intern at Bonneville Power Administration in 2015, where they performed analytical work and analysis in support of power generation operations. After graduating, they were hired full-time and continued to work as an Operations Research Analyst, leveraging quantitative analysis to provide insights to managers and build tools for improved operational decisions. In 2020, Garland was promoted to the role of Senior Operations Research Analyst, where they developed, automated, and supported tools for day-to-day operational decision making, delivering innovative analytical models and graphical summaries for policy change impacts. Garland also developed technical requirements for implementing software solutions. Recently, in 2023, Garland assumed the position of Lead Data Scientist at Bonneville Power Administration. Alongside their work at Bonneville, Garland also served as a Graduate Student and Tutorial Assistant at Montana State University from 2013 to 2016.

Garland Will earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Oregon in 2011. Garland went on to pursue a Master's degree in Statistics at Montana State University-Bozeman from 2013 to 2016.
