Dr. Michael Shaffer

Dr. Michael Shaffer is a School Law Associate Professor (Clinical) and Director of the Masters of Educational Administration program at Ball State University, which was ranked #12 in the United States for 2023 by US News and World Report. With extensive experience in educational leadership, Dr. Shaffer has instructed courses in School Law, Public Policy, and Educational Finance, while supervising interns in superintendent certification programs. Prior roles include Assistant Superintendent at East Allen County Schools and Principal at Lincoln Elementary School, where significant achievements included receiving the National Title I Distinguished School Award. Dr. Shaffer's career spans various educational roles, supported by a Doctor of Education from Ball State University and a strong foundation in educational administration, complemented by service as a Military Intelligence Analyst in the Army National Guard.
