Athina Syrrou is an experienced audit and technology professional with a robust background in internal audit, information security, and risk management. Currently serving as the Director of Internal Audit - Technology, Cyber, Privacy at Booking Holdings since February 2020, Athina has previously held significant roles at The HEINEKEN Company and ING, including senior management positions focused on IT audit, collaboration technologies, and risk. Their career began as an Electrical Engineer with ENERGOTECH SA after earning a Diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens. Additional experience includes a web development role at Egret Pharma in Shanghai and expertise gained from KPMG Advisory.
