Joshua Sessler

Joshua Sessler has a diverse range of work experience. Joshua currently serves as the COO & General Counsel at Bookshop.org, a position they have held since January 2021. Prior to this role, they worked at Cowan DeBaets Abrahams & Sheppard LLP, where they became a Partner in December 2009. Before that, they were an Of Counsel at Roberts Ritholz Levy Sanders Chidekel & Fields LLP from March 2008 to December 2009. Joshua also co-founded Dragonfly in September 2004 and served as their General Counsel until 2009. Joshua's previous work experience includes positions at Pryor Cashman Sherman & Flynn as an Associate from June 2001 to September 2002, and at First Light Communications as the Executive Vice President and General Counsel from April 2000 to June 2001. Joshua began their career as an Associate at Hughes Hubbard & Reed in September 1997, where they worked until April 2000.

Joshua Sessler's education history begins in 1974, when they attended Woodlands High School until 1977. During this period, they did not receive a degree or specialize in any specific field of study. After completing high school, Joshua went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at Binghamton University from 1977 to 1982. Following this, they studied at Hunter College from 1986 to 1988, where they obtained a Master of Social Work degree, specializing in Social Work. Lastly, Joshua attended Brooklyn Law School from 1994 to 1998, earning a Juris Doctor degree in Law.
