Jason Lye

Jason Lye has over 15 years of experience in technology and business development. Jason is currently an advisor at Boomtown Accelerators, and has previously served as the Chief Technical Officer at HTI Heat Technologies, Inc. and as the Director of External Business Development - Technology Assets at Newell Rubbermaid.

At HTI, Jason was responsible for managing litigation, strengthening the company's intellectual property position, and expanding the company's market applications. Jason also oversaw equipment installation and startup in the US, Asia, and EU. Jason was able to increase sales and grow the company by developing new relationships and partnering with other enterprises.

At Newell Rubbermaid, Jason was responsible for leading ad hoc business unit teams and supporting all Newell Rubbermaid businesses globally. Jason also conceived of and led development of a disruptive product that became a $50MM/year revenue stream for the company. In addition, Jason led technology diligence for Newell Rubbermaid Early Venture Fund, resulting in a venture investment and tech license supporting novel product development.

Jason has a strong technical background which has enabled him to be successful in their various roles. Jason is creative and innovative, always looking for ways to improve efficiency and increase sales. Jason is a trusted advisor who has helped companies grow and succeed.

Jason Lye has a Ph.D in Dye & Pigment Chemistry from North Carolina State University, as well as B.Sc's in Colour Chemistry from the University of Leeds. Jason also has certification from the Society of Dyers and Colorists in Chartered Colourist (Society of Dyers and Colorists, Bradford UK).
