Michael Gonzales

Michael Gonzales is the current Advisor at Boomtown Accelerators. Prior to this, they were the Head of Marketing, Genome Engineering & Modulation at MilliporeSigma from August 2019 to January 2022. Michael was also the Co-Founder and Board Member at Wheelwell, Inc. from August 2014 to May 2019.

Gonzales has always had a passion for marketing and sales. Michael has directed all aspects of promotion and advertising efforts to drive sales and build brand awareness for MilliporeSigma’s Genome Engineering and Modulation Franchise. Michael has also created and maintained a compelling portfolio narrative that drives visibility, credibility, and engagement.

Gonzales is an effective communicator and has delivered consistent communication to senior leadership to inform decisions regarding budget and the direction of the business. Michael is also a strategic thinker and has set global strategy and overseen all marketing, branding, and messaging across all channels and geos.

Gonzales is a data-driven marketer and has established and deployed a robust data-driven digital marketing strategy that enabled Marketing campaigns to be segmented, targeted, and measured. Michael has also analyzed Marketing and Sales metrics to ensure a continuous evaluation of the most effective campaigns.

Prior to their work at MilliporeSigma, Gonzales was the Co-Founder and Board Member at Wheelwell, Inc. Michael was responsible for all aspects of the company, from strategy to execution. Michael grew the company from a startup to a successful business with over $10 million in funding.
