Chema Ballesteros

Chema Ballesteros has a diverse and extensive work experience. Chema is currently working as a Principal Product Designer at Boopos since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Familia Plómez as a Socio since June 2017. Chema also has experience at Jobandtalent, where they served as a Product Design Lead from September 2022 to January 2023 and as a Senior Product Designer from May 2022 to September 2022. Chema worked at MaaS Global Ltd as a Design Strategist from June 2021 to May 2022, focusing on analyzing new ideas and projects and collaborating with UX designers. Chema also served as a UX/Design Lead at Ferrovial's urban mobility startup, Wondo, from January 2020 to June 2021, working closely with stakeholders. Additionally, they worked as a Freelance Digital Product Designer (UX) from July 2017 to December 2019 and as a Senior Interaction Designer (Freelance) at Fjord from May 2018 to June 2019. Chema Ballesteros had a teaching role as a Design and User Experience Teacher at The Valley Digital Business School from September 2015 to January 2019. Chema started their career at Matchmind as a User Experience Consultant in 2006. Prior to their current role, they worked for a long period at idealista as a Senior Interaction Designer, responsible for design and user experience of various brand products.

Chema Ballesteros began their education journey in 1997 at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, where they pursued a Diplomatura in Biblioteconomía y Documentación, which they completed in 2000. Chema then continued their studies at the same university and obtained a Licenciatura in Documentación from 2000 to 2002.

After a short break, Chema returned to the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid in 2004 for their next degree, this time in Comunicación Audiovisual. Chema completed their Licenciatura in Comunicación Audiovisual in 2011.

In 2016, Chema attended a one-year course at Familia Plómez, where they focused specifically on the field of Composición y Tipografía Digital. Chema completed a Curso de diseño de tipografía digital during that year.
