Rehan Akhtar has been working in the field of product management and software quality assurance since 2006. Rehan started their career as an Associate SQA Engineer at i2c Inc. in 2006, where they modified existing software systems, configured software systems to meet user's business and operational needs, and consulted and provided support to customers regarding their queries on software system usage and maintenance. In 2007, they joined Systems Limited as a Quality Engineer, where they tested and debugged software programs, wrote and tested code, highlighted and updated technology limitations and deficiencies in existing software, and created technical specifications and test plans. In 2008, they moved to Netsol Technologies as an SQA Engineer, where they investigated technology limitations in software systems and associated procedures/methods, debugged and validated new software systems, and analyzed and corrected applications to resolve defects and issues. Rehan rejoined i2c Inc. in 2008 as a Technical Product Manager, where they had experience with several clients comprising banks, retailers, transport, government, and B2B corporations in different countries, worked on a financial, real-time cloud-based payments processing platform, KYC and AML, e-commerce and acquiring systems, billing applications, and ERP solutions, and had extensive experience in B2B integrations via web, APIs, and socket services. In 2017, they joined Dialog Group Berhad as a Product Manager. Most recently, in 2019, they joined Boost Connect as a Product Management Lead, Payments.

Rehan Akhtar completed a Masters in Business Administration from the University of the Punjab in 2011, following a BSc.(Hons) in Computer Sciences from the same university, which they obtained in 2006.
