Clare O’Connor

Clare O’Connor is Soltan Sun Expert and Innovation and R&D Manager at Boots UK.

Within her role, Clare is responsible for sun protection research and product development to create innovative and market-leading products for Soltan, the only leading skincare brand in the UK to offer five-star UVA protection.

Clare has been at the company for more than 27 years and has held her current role for almost a decade, making her an expert in her field. As well as overseeing the development of new technology platforms to support sun protection and anti-ageing, Clare has forged partnerships with academic bodies and industry experts to help bolster Soltan’s position as a market leader in sun care.

Before joining Boots, Clare held roles as a Development Chemist and Lab Technician for other skincare manufacturers, gaining vital experience that she still uses today.
