Andrew Turner is the chief technology officer and market strategy lead for Booz Allen’s Global Commercial business. As a trusted advisor, Andrew helps our commercial clients solve complex cybersecurity challenges to enable positive business outcomes. He and his teams define an integrated vision of Booz Allen’s portfolio of cyber and related services, including cyber strategy, incident response, cyber defense, cloud services, and managed security.
With more than 20 years of experience in information security and cyber intelligence, Andrew has extensive experience in building and maturing risk-based cybersecurity organizations in high-growth enterprises. Prior to joining Booz Allen, Andrew was chief security officer for Fidelity National Information Systems (formerly Worldpay), where he led an integrated security organization, including information security, financial crimes investigations and recovery, physical security, corporate investigations, and business resilience. He also launched and directed strategic identity, cloud security, and cyber risk management programs and was responsible for the company’s cyber governance, standards, compliance, and other related policies.
Earlier in his career, Andrew held senior cyber leadership roles at Visa and Microsoft. At Visa, he developed and led the company’s cybersecurity organization, including managing a complete overhaul of existing processes, technologies, and talent strategies. At Microsoft, he designed and developed a suite of advanced cyber offerings for national security, energy, financial, and telecommunications clients.
A well-known cyber expert both in the U.S. and internationally, Andrew was appointed in 2014 by then-Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe to serve on the bipartisan Virginia Cybersecurity Commission to expand the state’s economic footprint in cyber technology and protect critical infrastructure from cyber threats. He was also the chair of the state’s Cyber Education and Workforce Development subcommittee. As a member of the Bank of England’s Cyber Resilience Board in 2018, Andrew provided leadership and direction for the UK’s policies and standards in technology resilience. He currently serves as a board member for Halo Privacy.
