Jacob Eckles

Jacob Eckles is a seasoned professional in global health and biosecurity, currently serving as a Senior Program Officer at the Nuclear Threat Initiative since December 2019. In this role, Jacob leads partnerships to enhance global biosecurity, manages grant operations, and develops proposals and contracts. Previously, as a Global Health Officer at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Jacob focused on the Global Health Security Agenda, providing strategic advice and coordinating international efforts to combat communicable diseases. Early career experiences include research assistant roles at George Washington University and the Center for Strategic and International Studies. Jacob holds a Master's Degree in Global Health and Health Policy from The George Washington University and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, Biology, and Chemistry from Indiana Wesleyan University.
