Laoise Chambers

Laoise Chambers is an experienced ecologist currently serving at Bord na Móna since December 2022, with previous roles at MKO Ireland from September 2014 to December 2022 and as a youth worker with Youth Work Ireland from January 2014 to August 2014. Early career experience includes positions as a lab and field technician with Waterford County Council, where work involved water treatment and biological surveys, and volunteer roles with the Irish Wildlife Rehabilitation Trust and BirdWatch Ireland, contributing to wildlife conservation efforts. Laoise began the professional journey as a conservation intern with the Great Basin Institute, focusing on habitat restoration and trail maintenance. Academic qualifications include a B.Sc. in Environmental Science from the University of Galway, completed in 2010.
