Paul Flamend

Paul Flamend has a strong background in procurement and sourcing, with significant experience in various managerial roles. Paul currently serves as the Head of Procurement Raw Materials at Borealis since July 2018. Prior to that, they worked at Thermo Fisher Scientific as an Advanced Sourcing professional starting from January 2017. Before these roles, Flamend held multiple positions at FEI Company, including Global Value Engineering Manager and Global Senior Commodity Manager, from January 2011 to the present. Paul also worked at Jabil Circuit as a Regional Commodity Manager from January 2002 to May 2005, and as a Purchasing Manager from their start date in 2001 to 2003. Flamend began their career at Philips Hasselt, where they held various roles including Purchasing Manager, Quality Manager, and Production Development in Opto-electronic devices, from 1992 to 2002.

Paul Flamend has a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineer Electronics from Groep T - Internationale Hogeschool Leuven, which they obtained from 1979 to 1983. Paul also pursued studies in Reliability at Holland Innovative in 2016. Additionally, they completed a course in NEVI 3 at Eindhoven University of Technology from 2009 to 2010 and studied Purchasing Management at VIB in 1998. Paul Flamend has also pursued studies in Logistics at Katholieke Hogeschool Limburg, Optics at Eindhoven University of Technology, and Supply Chain Management at Vlerick Business School. Paul has also undertaken studies in Strategic Purchasing at Purspective.
